ONE LOVE

This is a tribute to the "master rapper", Francis "Kiko" Magalona, an artist, a photograher and a nationalist. He passed away at the age of 44 last March 6 after battling leukemia since august of last year. He left behind 8 children and wife Pia.

He was a great composer and singer. He expressed his nationalism via his songs and he led young fans to it. "He was a good friend", this is how his friends in the music industry described him as well as the media people and the close people he worked with in shows, movies and music. He was loved by his fellow musicians because he was a real artist with no-nonsense voice from his lyrics. "He was a good man", this is how the people from politicians to actors and media networks described him because he works and communicate well.

But most of all he was a good father, husband and family man. I once saw an article of him and his family way back years ago were his siblings was only 6. It describes his way of life inside his home, a loving wife and happy children. As his body rest for days at the funeral parlor, tens of thousands of admirers view his remains including ex-president Aquino and ex-first lady Imelda Marcos and innumerable artists from both music and film industry.

At the eulogy, i am touch from the speech of Francis' children, and thats where i heard "One Love". Francis "Kiko" Magalona was the "Master Rapper" it is but for me he is a loving father and a real good man for preaching one love to his children. I wish all father would be, including me. CHEERS to FRANCIS M.
